We are always happy to receive feedback from our guests. Here are a few comments we received recently.

The service was great, the cottages were clean and we were welcomed by friendly faces. It really felt like we had returned to the comfort of our own home. We gazed out at the natural scenery, breathed in the fresh, clear air and listened to the soft singing of the birds...it was so energizing that I felt refreshed and able to start the next day fresh and anew. Our family including our children are counting the days till we can stay again next year.

My daughter, who was born and raised in The Netherlands felt so relaxed sleeping in a Western style bed, and I thought the cottage had a really stylish, European feel. We only stayed for one short night, but we were really looked after which was most delightful and we really enjoyed the breakfast (temple food). I was so grateful for the picture postcards, cherry blossom tea and kindness that we received and it gave me the chance to show my daughter the wonderful hospitality of Japanese culture. It was unfortunate that we couldn't take part in the zazen practice on Saturday night, I blamed it on the weather, but actually I was just tired from a week-long trip. I really hope that I can return to Cottage Mt. Ichibata overlooking the beautiful lake below with my husband some time in the future.

I really enjoyed the recommended Mt. Akiba Walking course. I arrived in the evening when it was already dark, so I was really looking forward to seeing the scenery the next day. Morning came and I opened my eyes... and what an amazing sight! I made my way to Izumo Taisha Shrine thinking to myself that I really should stay longer than one night. I participated in morning prayers which left me feeling good for the rest of the day. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
